Sylvia Rothe (1963), after studying physics and mathematics at Humboldt Universität in Berlin, began working as an independent director and producer, devoting her energy to videographic projects that explore the relationships between people and the mountains. With her documentaries she has participated in and won recognition from many European film festivals dedicated to the mountains.
