Mbambu is a sixteen-year-old girl. She lives in the village of Kilembe, at the foot of the Rwenzori Mountains, in Uganda. She wants to be the first in her family to finish high school. Her family is poor and cannot afford to pay for her studies, so Mbambu decides to earn some money as a guide for tourists who come for trekking on Mount Rwenzori. Mbambu acts in the little village theatre company, which creates performances to educate and sensitize the population about environmental and social themes.
