A doctor lives alone in an isolated house. One day a mysterious letter arrives saying he is urgently needed in the nearby village. Aft er a diffi  cult and tiring trip on foot up the mountain, the doctor arrives in the village and fi nds it completely deserted. Th ere is no one in the streets, in the plazas, or even inside the houses. Th e doctor looks around, listens, and thinks. He doesn’t know what to do or whom he is waiting for. He then understands that it was the village itself that needed his help, and so begins to care for his sick patient.
