Horsetail, fern, conifer, and lycopodium are antique plants with valuable medicinal properties. Th ey have survived the great climatic catastrophes and resisted all changes. Strong connections have developed around the power of these plants as have cults and traditions capable of surviving over time. Isolated in the valleys, the “herb witches” and “men of the forest” live on.

Michael Wachtler
Born in San Candido in 1959, as a young man he became interested in stones, crystals, plants, and scientifi c explorations which led him to take part in expeditions on all of the continents. A founder of newspapers and magazines, since 1990 he has made documentaries and since 1998 he has organized exhibitions throughout Europe.
