The Charmer of Grammos

Sotiris is 80 years old and lives in the Grammos mountains, one of the wildest corners of the mountainous region in northeastern Greece. Up there, men and nature have always coexisted in harmony. Sotiris realizes, however, that in recent years bees have become increasingly rare, and so he begins to work to favour the repopulation of this valuable insect. His long walks and patient waiting are occasions to contemplate the great questions of life and the end of humanity.

Born in Konitsa in 1967, he first worked as a professional photographer and then, attracted by the world of images in motion, as a video-maker. In his documentaries he favours the exploration of the natural microcosm. Anteprima italiana / Italian premiere
