(In Another World)

Step by step, day after day, and often in silence, this film follows Dario Favre, ranger of the Gran Paradiso National Park. His daily routine includes observing the animals and saving injured ibex and chamois. The environment that surrounds him is truly marvelous, yet this enchanted landscape cannot hide the severity of life in the mountains, with its endless silence and solitude. This is a life that one must face and accept, with the risk of not being able to cope. The sound of steps in the snow, the long silences, and the silhouette of the solitary park ranger that stands out against the cloudy sky in the first light of day are images from another world where Man reclaims the dimension of slowness and once again becomes part of Nature.
