There is a cowbell on a road, in a meadow, in a pharmacy, at a school, in a body shop, at the butcher’s, and in a barrister’s office. Someone comes along, lifts it up and makes it ring. Sixty workplaces, sixty workers and a cowbell that unites them, ideally. We are in the Swiss canton of Obwalden. After this strange, collective concert, when the farmer has left with his tractor, only the cowbell remains and the silence of the mountains returns.
 

	Marie-Catherine Theiler Marie-Catherine Theiler was born in Lucerne in 1976. She studied theatre and journalism at the universities of Berne and Fribourg. From 1997 to 2000 she worked as an actress and theatre production assistant in Berne. She then studied film at the University of Fine Arts in Geneva. She lives and works between Switzerland and Berlin.
