After reading L’anello Forte by Nuto Revelli and hearing the stories told by her Albanian friend Neta, Marzia decided to accompany her to Staike, her native village in the mountains north of Scutari. The situation there today for Albanian women is very similar to that experienced in the past by Italian women living in the mountains. This film offers a woman’s perspective on this world of women whose story is told for the first time.

Marzia Pellegrino
Born in Cuneo, in 1990 with Sandro Gastinelli she founded the production company Studiouno, where she conducts video-graphic research projects about the territory and has made documentaries that have won prizes in numerous international film festivals. Since 2007 she has been the co-director of the Festival della Montagna di Cuneo.
