La vita di Pier

Since he was born, Pier Luigi has spent each summer in a pasture in the high mountains, with his cows and goats, amongst the peaks of the Western Segusine Alps. Now he is fi fteen and feels different from most of his peers. He is proud to be a farmer and loves his work, his animals, and his mountains. He wouldn’t change his way of life — so simple and diffi  cult — for any other in the world. He wants to remain in the mountains to live and work.

Giovanni De Grandi (1955), passionate about fi lm and the visual arts, has studied photography and video as well as music. He has written many of the soundtracks for his own documentaries. Paola Novarese (1966) taught herself photography and video techniques.
