The Gruffalo

Based on a classic book by Julia Donaldson, Th e Gruff alo narrates the story of a mouse who wanders into the woods in search of a nut. Along the way, he encounters a fox, a serpent, and anowl, all three ready to eat him. To escape from these predators, the clever mouse tells them that he is waiting for his dear friend Gruffalo, a terrible monster, whose very name causes the animals to flee. Th e mouse can thus move about freely in the forest, since there is nothing left  for him to fear. But suddenly he fi nds himself face to face with the terrible Gruff alo. Will he again succeed in escaping danger?

Jakob Schuh, Max Lang
Jakob Schuh (1976), was born in Munich. He studied drama and directing, animation, and illustration in Munich, Salzburg, and Vienna. Since 1995 he has collaborated as illustrator and animator with vari-
ous fi lm studios. Max Lang studied animation at the Filmakademie Baden-Württemberg. He worked on numerous productions as director, illustrator, animator, and screenwriter. He was the co-director of the animated trailer that launched the Cartoon Forum 2008 in Ludwigsburg.
