Awards
The most important recognitions awarded by the Lessinia Film Festival are the Lessinia d'Oro and the Lessinia d'Argento. The imagery of these prizes symbolizes a fairy (or fada) casting aloft a handful of stars from a pasture of the Lessinia. Other prizes are dedicated to life in the mountains, to minority cultures and languages, to the protection of the enviroment, and to the Lessinia.
Grand Prizes
“Gran Prix Lessinia“ - Lessinia Gold - € 3.000.
For the best overall film, based on content and artistic merit.
Lessinia Silver - € 2.000.
For the work that best documents and values man’s life in the mountains.
Curatorium Cimbricum Veronense Award - € 1.000.
For the work that best documents and values the language and culture of ethnic minorities in the mountains.
Veneto Region Award - € 1.000.
For the best work concerning the "cultural identity" of the mountains.
Verona Province Award - € 1.000.
For the best work about “history in the mountains”.
Lessinia Award - € 500.
For the best work about the Lessinia Mountains.
Lessinia Regional Natural Park Award - € 500.
For the best nature film or documentary.
Special Prizes
Special Prize in memory of Mario Pigozzi and Piero Piazzola.
For the best work by a young director.
Special Prize of the Cassa Rurale Bassa Vallagarina.
For the best work about the mountains of the Triveneto (Tre Venezie).
Award from the public.
