The focus of the Lessinia Film Festival is mountain life in its myriad forms: human settlement, the surrounding territory, work, traditions, habits and clothing, minority languages and cultures, religiosity, artisan traditions, artistic and musical events, environmental protection, natural wonders, natural parks, scientific, environmenal, historic, and anthropological research, architecture and reclusion, and issues dealing with the future of life lived at high altitudes.
The Lessinia Film Festival program is divided into the following sections: competition, non-competition, Lessinia-Mount Baldo, and special events.
Competition
This section presents the best new international works regarding the theme of life, history and traditions of the mountains.
Other Mountains
This section offers a vast panorama of mountain life themes, and includes both old and new productions.
Lessinia-Mount Baldo
This section presents new works about the Veronese mountains of Lessinia and Mount Baldo.
Special events
This section offers retrospectives, homages to the masters of mountain cinema, historic films, and viewings of classic mountain films.
